Role Description The Associate will work on a full-time, on-site basis in the Hanover, MA office, supporting the firm’s litigation department. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting legal research, and preparing memoranda, pleadings, and correspondence. The role involves attending client meetings, participating in case strategy discussions, and assisting with negotiations, hearings, and court appearances under the supervision of senior attorneys. The Associate will manage case files, track deadlines, communicate with clients and opposing counsel, and collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to ensure high-quality, timely legal services. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission (or eligibility for admission) to the Massachusetts Bar. Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills, including the ability to draft clear, well-structured documents. Experience or interest in practice areas such as family law, business law, estate planning, Social Security, or disability matters. Effective client communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building trust and maintaining confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with partners, associates, and support staff. High ethical standards, sound judgment, and commitment to professional development and community engagement.
