Registered Nurse

Position: Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Anchorage, AK Client: Alaska Department of Corrections (AKDOC) Agency: Cell Staff Cell Staff is partnering with the Alaska Department of Corrections (AKDOC) to secure dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses for a 13-week renewable contract opportunity in Anchorage. This position provides clinical care within a correctional environment, offering an exceptional work-life balance, full benefits, and highly competitive compensation. Local Pay Rat e: $63.00 per hour Travel Compensatio n: Candidates residing more than 50 miles from the facility are eligible for premium travel stipends and housing packages Full Benefits Packag e: Comprehensive major medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage, plus a 401(k) retirement plan Contract Term s: 13-week initial contract length with options to renew for long-term stability Schedule & Hours Rotational Schedu le: 7 days on, 7 days off (alternating weeks entirely off) Key Responsibilities Conduct intake health screenings, triage, and comprehensive physical assessments of patients Administer medications (Med Pass) and manage chronic care treatment plans Provide urgent care, wound management, and emergency medical response as required Collaborate with facility leadership, medical staff, and correctional officers to maintain a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment Licen sure: Must possess an active Alaska RN license in hand, or provide documented proof of an application currently in process with the state board Certifica tion: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Experi ence: Prior experience in Corrections, Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or Med-Surg environments is preferred but not mandatory About Cell Staff Cell Staff is a national healthcare staffing firm that was founded in 2014, focused on providing specialized support to our clinicians.
