Surgical Tech - Labor & Delivery

Job Summary Work Schedule: (2) Shifts a week 7A-730P; weekend and holiday rotation Assists surgical team during operative procedures. Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operations, and hands items as needed to the operative team. Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the operating rooms. The Surgical Technician is responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. Will also assume duties on the unit to include but not limited to phlebotomy, vs, assisting with newborn care, and general patient care assistant duties. Qualifications Education Requirements 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role. Experience Relevant Experience Certification and Licensure BLS Certification Certified Surgical Tech (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT (New grads must obtain within 6 months of graduation) Located in Phoenixville, PA, and a member of Tower Health, Phoenixville Hospital is a 144-bed facility that provides comprehensive medical services through emergency room visits, inpatient admissions, outpatient procedures and community outreach programs.
