Quick Facts: Location: 2520 Union Springs Road, Whiteville, TN 38075 Start Date: 09/07/2026 End Date: 12/05/2026 Shift: Full-time, 40 hours/week, shifts to be scheduled Hours/Week: 40 Employment Type: Contract Licenses/Certs: Board eligible, BLS required or in process, license verification needed Experience: Relevant mental health experience preferred Pay & Benefits: Pay Rate: $117.25 per hour Benefits: Competitive pay package discussed upon application Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You ll Do: Conduct psychological screenings and assessments for inmates based on records and interviews Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and security staff Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on inmate needs Perform rounds in segregation and confined housing areas to assess mental health status Provide mental health counseling and crisis intervention interventions as needed Offer consultation to other staff regarding inmate behavioral escalation and mental health issues What You Need: Current or pending licensure/board eligibility in Tennessee BLS certification or in process (meeting CoreCivic standards) Prior experience in mental health assessment and treatment Strong communication and teamwork skills About the Assignment: This assignment involves providing essential mental health services within a secure correctional facility environment, supporting inmates psychological well-being through assessments, counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
