Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) providing high-acuity neuro ICU and SICU care on a travel basis. Responsible for delivering evidence-based nursing interventions for trauma, surgical, and neurological patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document patient status, including neurological, hemodynamic, and respiratory parameters.
• Administer medications and therapies in accordance with clinical protocols and provider orders.
• Manage ventilator and critical care support needs, prioritizing patient safety and stability.
• Coordinate care plans for trauma and complex surgical/neuro patients, including timely escalation of changes.
• Perform comprehensive ICU nursing care activities, including wound/line care and critical lab review.
• Utilize Epic for charting, orders, and documentation to support continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and be able to meet facility/credentialing requirements.
• Possess 2+ years of ICU experience caring for trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients.
• Demonstrate Level One trauma experience.
• Have proven Epic EMR experience.
• Complete competency testing within 24 hours of submission (when required).
• Provide a current email address at submission to receive assessment instructions.
