Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Worker to support daily operations in a fast-paced distribution environment specializing in commercial and industrial electrical and building products. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate order fulfillment, efficient product handling, and excellent customer service during order pickups. The goal is to eventually train into driving a box truck for customer deliveries 2-3 times per day. While not everyone will need to drive, it is a plus to be able to.
Responsibilities

• Pull, stage, and verify customer orders accurately based on pick tickets.
• Package and prepare materials for shipment or customer pickup.
• Assist customers with order pickups, ensuring a professional and service-oriented experience.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely move and load materials.
• Read and use a tape measure to verify product sizes and specifications.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Essential Skills

• Ability to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Basic math and measurement skills, including reading a tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to submit to a background check including a Motor Vehicle Record check (for eventual box truck driving once converted to a permanent employee).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Heavy lifting, loading, forklift operation, general labor.
• Shipping & receiving, inventory management, RF scanner usage.
• Order picking, packing, and reliable work ethic.

Work Environment
The work environment is a non-climate controlled, traditional warehouse housing commercial electrical and building products. The warehouse team consists of 10-12 members. Employees should be comfortable with standing, bending, and performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift. The ability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pflugerville, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
