Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist with a strong air quality background to support midstream operations, specifically compressor station environments. This role will serve as a technical advisor to operations teams, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and guiding air permitting and emissions management efforts.
Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in air quality and environmental compliance for midstream assets, including compressor stations
• Provide technical advisory support to operations teams on federal, state, and local air regulations (e.g., EPA, TCEQ)
• Interpret permitting requirements and ensure ongoing compliance with air permits and applicable regulations
• Assist with air permit applications, amendments, renewals, and reporting obligations
• Evaluate emissions from compressor stations and related midstream facilities
• Support implementation of air compliance programs, monitoring plans, and recordkeeping systems
• Conduct regulatory analysis and gap assessments to ensure alignment with evolving environmental rules
• Partner with operations to develop practical, compliant solutions for environmental challenges
• Support internal audits, inspections, and regulatory agency interactions as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in environmental compliance, with a strong focus on air quality
• Direct experience in midstream oil & gas operations, particularly compressor stations, required
• Strong knowledge of air permitting processes and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Title V, NSPS, NESHAP)
• Ability to function as a technical advisor influencing operational decisions
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Texas regulations (TCEQ) preferred
