A little about the job....
- Reviews test requisitions; collects specimens via venipuncture; accurately labels and transports specimens to the laboratory for clinical and biological analysis in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.
- Performs laboratory testing and related support duties as required.
Qualifications for the job...
- High school education or equivalent required. Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations at a level acquired through a high school education. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations to perform functions of job such as patient identification, determine weight and vital signs, etc.
- One year experience required.
- Interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with patients, visitors and hospital personnel. Require knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures and techniques.
