Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients within a Level 3 NICU setting, ensuring optimal outcomes through expert clinical practices. The role requires flexibility to float between multiple acute care facilities while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality.

Responsibilities:

• Render comprehensive neonatal nursing care for critically ill infants in a Level 3 NICU environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patient status continuously, utilizing advanced charting systems like Epic.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and compliance regulations, including holiday and weekend staffing requirements.
• Float to designated satellite locations and other critical care units as needed within scope of practice.
• Maintain up-to-date certifications and licensing, including BLS, NRP, and California RN licensure.

Qualifications:

• Possess a California RN license or have an ETA for licensing confirmation.
• Demonstrate at least 3 years of NICU Level 3 or higher experience.
• Hold current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Be proficient with Epic electronic medical records and charting modules.
• Be flexible to work variable D/N shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Have experience working in Pediatric ICU or related critical care settings.
