Sr Systems Engineer - Salt Lake City

Salary: $100,000 - 145,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree and at least 6 years of directly relevant experience, or a graduate degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience, or 10 years of equivalent experience in place of a degree.
• You must currently hold a DoD security clearance.
• Experience in system-level development, requirements definition, analysis, and risk reduction for communications, open systems architecture, satellite communications, and/or electronic warfare is preferred.
• Strong presentation and communication abilities are highly valued.
• You should have solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work to demanding deadlines.
• Experience with model-based systems engineering is desirable.
• You should understand project coordination and the roles of technical support personnel.
• The ability to work independently is important.
• System security testing experience is preferred.
• Experience with systems integration, testing, and verification in complex environments is desired.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama is preferred.
• Experience creating and executing test procedures and test plans is valued.
• You should understand system lifecycle processes and core systems engineering principles.
• The ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across hardware and software domains is preferred.

• We assist in planning and executing technical projects or defined portions of projects in a focused, high-output environment.
• We capture and manage customer and derived requirements, breaking them down and assigning them to the appropriate functional areas while maintaining traceability to verification activities.
• We develop technical specifications, interface control documents, test plans, and procedures, and we analyze configuration and processing solutions to confirm conformance to specifications.
• We apply best practices, tools, techniques, processes, and methodologies to design and develop new products or enhance existing ones.
• We ensure technical performance, quality, and schedule adherence.
• We work in line with established policies and organizational objectives.
• We evaluate vendor capabilities and manage subcontracts to obtain required products or services.
• We lead or support design reviews.
• We travel 20–40% of the time to customer and subcontractor locations for technical meetings and verification activities.
