Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intermediate Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years in PCU License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: PCU experience Positive team player Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in an Intermediate Care Unit. This unit specializes in Level 2 ICU care, including open heart surgery, neuro surgery, and trauma care. There are 24 beds in the unit with a patient ratio of 1:3. Common diagnoses treated include post-open heart, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU, and post-stroke care. Nurses will utilize equipment such as IV pumps, monitoring devices, and ventilators. The electronic health record system used is Cerner. The position requires a willingness to float within the unit as needed. Weekend shifts will be required every other week. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Candidates should possess a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
