Sports Physical Therapist - PRN

Position Summary This is for a PRN position. The employee with fill vacancies at various clinics across the valley. This position provides outpatient orthopedic & sports physical therapy services primarily to a pediatric population from school age through adolescence/young adulthood. The applicant should be adept and comfortable independently managing the complete continuum of professional services from patient access to appropriate coding and billing practices according to legal/ethical guidelines and hospital policy. Performs evaluations, program planning, and treatment of patients using exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, joint and soft tissue mobilization, taping, electrical stimulation, thermal modalities, etc. specific to age, athletic activity, and developmental/functional level determined by assessment. This position will demonstrate an understanding of billing and coding practices as appropriate for professional outpatient services and its revenue cycle. Education BS or higher degree from a school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association. (Required) Experience Sports/Orthopedic physical therapy setting (Required) 2 years experience treating, coaching or teaching ages 7-18 (Required) 2 years of athletic experience as a player, coach, official, etc. (Preferred) Certifications Possess a current Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy license, prior to start date. (Required) Possess AZ DPS fingerprint clearance card prior to start date (Preferred) Possess American Heart Association`s BLS certification prior to start date (Required) Holds, or is eligible to obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) to render and bill for independent professional services prior to start date (Required) Certified Clinical Specialist (SCS, OCS), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) (Preferred) Dry Needling Certification (Preferred) Tool Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization Certification (Preferred) Kinesiology or Specialty Taping Certification (Preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr Direct Jobs
