Senior Data Engineer

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines, data models, and infrastructure for enterprise-level projects. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality data delivery and integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with extensive experience in data modeling and proficiency in the Azure ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and PySpark.
• Develop and optimize data models to support business intelligence and analytical needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure high performance and reliability of data processing systems, focusing on Azure-based architectures.
• Perform ETL/ELT processes and data integration across multiple sources.
• Manage and optimize large-scale datasets using tools like SQL and Python.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues to ensure seamless operations.
• Contribute to the development of best practices for data engineering and data governance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 4–6 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on data modeling and data architecture.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and PySpark.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and database technologies.
• Experience in creating and optimizing data models for structured and semi-structured data.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, including pipeline orchestration and automation.
• Familiarity with cloud-native data storage solutions (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work remotely in LATAM and align with EST business hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of DataOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Prior experience working in Agile environments.
• Certifications in Azure or related technologies.
