Job Title: Registered Nurse - Critical Care Profession: RN CVICU Specialty: RN CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 13.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification - Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Must-Have: - Strong critical thinking skills - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Description: Looking for highly motivated critical care nurses. Candidates should thrive in a very fast-paced, high-acuity critical care department. This role involves providing care to critically ill patients. The department frequently receives patients needing specialized care. Typical patient diagnoses include cardiothoracic surgery and neuro/neurosurgery. The team has also provided ICU-level care for patients suffering from COVID-19. Responsibilities include monitoring patients requiring advanced interventions, including ECMO. The unit has a capacity of 15 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:2. The patient population includes adolescents through late adults. Direct patient care staff includes registered nurses and patient care technicians. Candidates must have appropriate certifications and clinical experience.
