The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the integration of complex power systems and power electronic equipment and ensuring that all components work together seamlessly. This role demands a blend of deep technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills to drive the development and implementation of innovative electrical designs in the power management division of IPS./ppThis role will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of IPS Power MD engineering projects and services specifically supporting our Custom Equipment business./ppActively participate in the IPS UCE tier meeting process/ppProvide engineering and technical support to PMD teams and centers./ppEnsure that IPS solutions meet customer expectations and applicable industry standards./ppAssist with implementation of quality improvement actions./ppEnsure compliance with operating policies and procedures./ppUtilize Continuous Improvement Process Solution (CIPS) tools and Processes./ppEnforce strict safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements in all engineering and shop activities./ppLead the medium and high voltage electrical design integration process, ensuring that all electrical components and systems meet technical specifications and quality standards./ppCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, software development, and quality assurance, to ensure integrated and cohesive design solutions./ppDevelop and implement integration strategies for complex electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and communication interfaces./ppConduct system-level design reviews, simulations, and validation tests to verify system performance and reliability./ppProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior electrical engineers and design teams./ppDevelop and supervise site electrical procedures, providing technical guidance for connections and wiring systems./ppOversee project execution from start to finish, interface with stakeholders, and ensure applications meet regulation standards./ppManage project timelines, resources, and budgets to meet deliverables and milestones./ppStay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in electrical engineering and design integration./ppEnsure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies./ppStay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge./ppQualifications and Competencies:/ppBachelors degree in electrical engineering, or a closely related degree, plus five to ten years electrical engineering experience in design and testing preferred/ppComprehensive knowledge of control system design including MV switchgear, PLCs, VFDs, programming, panel layout, component selection, testing and modifications/ppSome knowledge of panel board, lighting, outlet, grounding, conduit and wiring design./ppAbility to create, read or modify 1-line drawings, layout drawings, schematics, wiring and interconnection diagrams/ppAbility and willingness to travel as needed/ppStrong interpersonal skills/ppProficient with NFPA 70E, NEC/ppProficient computer skills including MS Office and AutoCAD; experience with AutoCAD Electric, E-Plan and SolidWorks./ppAbility to work with unit teams in various levels and manage projects as needed/ppSkills:/ppInnovative Thinking: Embracing innovation and creativity is key to staying competitive in todays dynamic business environment./ppAdaptability: Markets and industries are constantly evolving, and IPS leaders must be flexible and adaptable.
