This is a hands‑on technical role focused on patient care, anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and medical support. Clinical confidence: Ability to assist in surgery, perform treatments, and manage hospitalized cases efficiently. Attention to detail: Accurate record keeping and careful monitoring of patients. Team‑oriented mindset: Ability to work closely with veterinarians and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Compassionate patient care: Gentle handling and a genuine love for animals. Dependability: Reliable, punctual, and accountable. Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Required/Preferred experience: Current Veterinary Technician license (where applicable) or prior hands‑on experience as a veterinary assistant in a clinical setting. How You’ll Contribute Assisting veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, surgery, and treatment procedures. Performing technical skills such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, sample collection, radiographs, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and dental cleanings (based on licensure and experience). Administering medications and treatments as directed. Monitoring hospitalized and post‑operative patients. Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records. Educating clients on treatment plans, medications, and post‑operative care instructions. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe treatment and surgical area. Assisting with inventory and supply management as needed.
