Job Summary The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs radioactive isotope procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging. Key Responsibilities Administer radiopharmaceuticals intravenously, orally, or via inhalation. Position patients and operate imaging equipment (e.g., SPECT, PET scanners). Acquire, process, and analyze nuclear medicine images. Maintain quality control and calibration of imaging equipment. Monitor radiation safety for patients and staff. Document patient procedures and findings. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Schedule / Shift Days Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. Possess a valid state license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (if applicable). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Certifications Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Experience Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Skills Proficient in performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures. Knowledge of radiation safety principles and protocols. Familiarity with imaging equipment operation and maintenance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. EMR / Systems Experience with PACS and standard imaging software. Patient Population Adults and geriatric patients.
