Lead Mammographer

Overview Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital, located in West Town, Chicago (60622), offers clinical services. This role is within the Radiology Diagnostic department. Responsibilities Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or staff under general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services. Supervise staff in the absence of manager/director and promote teamwork and good customer service. Assist in annual evaluations and staff discipline. Actively participate in the performance of specialized radiographic imaging procedures to assist radiologists in diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders. Participate in direct patient care, facility quality and safety initiatives, and compliance with local and federal regulations. Assist with complex and sensitive patient and family issues. Ensure quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages. Qualifications Education, Experience, Training: Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State. Current ARRT certification. Advanced certification in the field of Mammography. Current experience as a radiology technologist. Strong verbal, written, and communication skills. Current BCLS (AHA) certification. Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards. Ability to travel to all imaging facilities both regularly and without notice. Experience in Hospital Information Services (HIS)/Radiology Information System (RIS).
