Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Follow instructions given on varying tasks
• Assist in various areas of the kitchen as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Ability to work in varying temperature environments

Additional Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• CA Food Handlers Certificate a plus
• Able to read and write in English

Physical demands and work environment:

• Physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, and safely move HFB's which weigh upwards of 250 lbs and safely operate lift gate. Specific vision abilities required by the job require close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time, and on occasion may be exposed to cold temperatures in the walk-in refrigerator for extended periods of time. The noise level is usually moderate.
