Saw Operator (1st Shift)The Panel Saw Operator sets up and operates panel saws to cut plastic sheets and related materials to precise dimensions, ensuring all parts meet quality and accuracy standards. This role involves reading blueprints and work orders, using measuring tools to verify specifications, and supporting general shop and warehouse activities in a production environment. Apply Today!ResponsibilitiesOperate panel saws to cut plastic sheets and other materials to precise dimensions according to specifications.Read and interpret tape measures, blueprints, work orders, schematics, and other documentation to determine cutting requirements.Set up panel saws and related equipment to support efficient and accurate production runs.Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions and ensure quality.Load, move, and stage raw materials and finished products to support production workflow.Inspect finished parts to confirm accuracy, quality, and adherence to established standards.Assist with general shop and warehouse duties, including organizing materials and maintaining a clean work area.Collaborate with team members and follow work instructions to meet production goals and deadlines.Essential SkillsExperience operating saws, woodworking equipment, or production machinery in a production or shop environment.Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.Experience using calipers, micrometers, or other precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and schematics.Capability to lift and move materials weighing 50-75 lbs as part of daily tasks.Proficiency in operating panel saws and related cutting equipment.Basic understanding of machine setup for saws or CNC-related equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with CNC equipment or machine setup processes.Comfort working with plastic materials or similar substrates in a production setting.Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines in a warehouse and shop environment.Strong organizational skills to effectively stage and move materials for production.Why Work Here?Employees join a privately owned company that values long-term careers, with many team members enjoying 8-9 years of tenure on average. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
