Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Sacramento. The role involves generating new client opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and achieving maximum sales profitability within an assigned territory. The representative will effectively sell the company's products and related services, educate prospects through face-to-face visits, calls, trainings, and presentations, while providing exceptional support to existing customers.

Responsibilities

• Generate leads, build relationships, and secure appointments within defined selling territory and target markets that lead to confirmed orders/contracts.
• Represent the company's services with a deep understanding of solutions, identify customer challenges, and provide suitable solutions.
• Maximize referral network through participation in industry events and organizations.
• Monitor current market trends, selling techniques, and competitor information through independent research and company resources.
• Provide excellent response times to customer inquiries.
• Prepare and issue quotes, submit orders through internal systems, and follow up with customers after receipt of products/services.
• Provide input to management for the development of sales targets for the market segment/territory.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to complete customer order fulfillment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in the wire rope fabrication, construction, equipment, or tool industry is preferred.
• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of successful outside sales experience, industrial sales experience strongly preferred.
• PC proficiency.

Work Environment

This role involves heavy travel by car to client locations within a defined region, with office work as needed for reporting and meetings. The position requires standard office equipment usage and adherence to safety procedures. The job is full-time, Monday through Friday, with minimal travel outside the assigned territory expected. The work environment includes physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50,000.00 - $55,000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
