We are seeking a Locum OBGYN to join our team near Salem, VA, for 24-hour in-house call shifts.
- Expected Start Date: July 2026
- Shift Details: 4 to 8 shifts of 24-hour in-house call each month
- Shift Flexibility: Opportunity to work two consecutive 24-hour in-house call shifts
- Call Coverage Duties: Responsible for all OB services in labor and delivery, as well as unassigned OB GYN call for the facility
- Department Overview: The practice handles an average of 70-75 deliveries and 20-25 non-obstetrical surgeries monthly; it is a busy environment.
- Resident Management: Expected to supervise residents
- Facility Size: 146-bed acute-care medical center with a strong support team and a medical staff of 280 physicians across various specialties, including a Level II Nursery
- Required Skills: Core OBGYN competencies with minor GYN surgical skills
- Electronic Medical Records: Experience with Epic
- Minimum Experience: At least 2 years in the field
- Certification Requirements: EFM, NRP, PALS, DEA, and an active Virginia medical license
- Referral Bonus: $2000 for any referral who completes 160 hours of work
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, plus housing, travel expenses, and A++ rated malpractice insurance with tail coverage included
