Respiratory Therapist

Position: Respiratory Therapist - Geriatric Location: Skilled Nursing Facility Salary Range: $35.34 - $38.83 per hour Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday with every other weekend rotation Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as a Respiratory Therapist, preferably in a geriatric setting About the Facility A 124 bed Skilled Nursing Facility dedicated to providing high-quality care to senior residents. Facility offers both short term and long term care, and we pride ourselves on our compassionate and personalized approach to healthcare. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team and provide specialized care to our geriatric population. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Respiratory Therapist, with a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by older adults. Responsibilities Conduct respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for geriatric patients Administer and monitor respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy Educate patients and their families on respiratory care, disease management, and prevention techniques Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care for patients Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities to stay current on best practices and advancements in respiratory care Qualifications Current and valid Respiratory Therapist license Minimum of 2 years experience as a Respiratory Therapist, preferably in a geriatric setting Strong knowledge of respiratory diseases and conditions commonly found in the geriatric population Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care #J-18808-Ljbffr Trinity Healthcare Talent Services, LLC
