Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | On-Site | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM with On-Call Requirements | Call shifts 4–5 per 4-week period | Weekend rotation | No block schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a 13-room Main Operating Room performing all surgical cases except open heart, transplants, and eye procedures
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio and collaborate with surgical techs, support staff, and board runners throughout all phases of surgical care
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including Stryker ortho systems, laparoscopic towers, da Vinci Xi robotic systems, MAKO navigation, and OMNI navigation
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation using the MEDITECH system
• Fulfill on-call shift obligations and participate in weekend rotation as scheduled
• Float to assist in other areas of the facility when operating rooms are not in use, beginning with internal units before serving as helping hands elsewhere

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Demonstrated orthopedic experience, specifically major joint procedures — this is a strict requirement
• Proficiency in general surgery, urology (open and cystoscopy), and minor vascular procedures
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Adherence to all AORN guidelines and facility-specific policies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with major vascular procedures
• Additional perioperative certifications (e.g., CNOR) are a plus
• Familiarity with MEDITECH documentation systems
