Product Owner

Akkodis is seeking a Product Owner for a Contract with a client in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will drive Agile product delivery by managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring user stories and requirements are clearly defined, refined, and ready for development.


Rate Range: $65/Hour to $68/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Product Owner Responsibilities include:

• Own, prioritize, and maintain a healthy product backlog to support Agile delivery objectives.
• Create and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed requirements to ensure sprint readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, UX, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives to drive successful product delivery.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), release validation, and production issue resolution activities.
• Analyze user feedback, operational challenges, and performance metrics to identify continuous improvement opportunities and backlog enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 2-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a similar Agile delivery role.
• Proven experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs, writing user stories, and defining acceptance criteria within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile project management tools, with strong stakeholder communication and requirements documentation skills.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $68.00 per hour
