This direct-hire opening sits with a financially stable, growing operation looking to add a skilled hand to its machining floor.What You'll DoBuild and refine CNC programs using CAM softwareHandle machine setup start to finish: selecting and installing tooling and workholding, loading stock, and dialing in programs and offsetsDiagnose floor issues, worn tooling, program glitches, setup problems, minor mechanical hiccups, and loop in maintenance for anything biggerStay on top of routine upkeep and preventive maintenance to keep equipment runningWork safely around cutting tools, coolant, and heavy stockLook for ways to tighten up the process and cut down on wasteKeep supervisors informed on job status, issues, and outputWhat You BringA couple of years or more setting up and programming Swiss-style turning equipmentComfortable with a computer, including ERP systems and standard office softwareHands-on experience with CAM packages such as Esprit, Fusion, Mastercam, or CAMWorksSome background in 3D modelingSolid grasp of G-code and tooling on Citizen-style Swiss lathes and/or Miyano turn-mill equipmentAble to read and work from part prints, CAD files, GD&T callouts, and process documentationExperience working under formal quality and safety programsA two-year degree in machining or a related field is a plus, not a requirementGood to KnowMust qualify as a U.S. Person under ITARMust meet eligibility requirements to work for a federally licensed firearms manufacturer (07/FFL)Role keeps you on your feet for most of the shift, expect to be up and moving roughly 80% of the timeOccasional lifting up to 25 lbsSafety glasses and hearing protection required on the floorEssential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation; qualified candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply
