Full Job Description:  

QuickBooks desktop experience is required. Our fast-paced, development company is currently looking for a candidate to fill a full-time role of Accountant. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records, paying bills in a timely manner, following up on any outstanding receivables, assisting developers and management with ongoing projects as needed and attending meetings. 

This position will apply accounting principles and procedures in working with specialized accounting processes, transactions, and reports. The Accountant will manage and reconcile accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requirements and will help with the preparation of various financial reports. 

Knowledge of reconciling bank accounts, inserting bills, paying bills, sorting by Class, verifying the accuracy of balance sheet accounts, coding of items to assets, liabilities, expenses or income and understanding of accrual vs cash accounting is required. You will be managing multiple QuickBooks accounts so you must be able to multitask. 

 

Experience:  

Minimum 2 years’ experience working extensively on desktop QuickBooks is required.

Associates degree in accounting or similar field is preferred, but not required.
