Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the emergency department for patients across a broad acuity spectrum, including triage, initial assessment, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications and therapies as ordered; manage IVs and airway support as needed; respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record; maintain accurate, timely records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans; participate in patient and family education.
- Monitor for adverse events, support patient safety, and respond to code/rapid response events per protocol.
- May float to units within scope of practice according to patient needs and unit policies.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas
- BLS, ACLS, and either ENPC or PALS, and TNCC certifications (as required)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of ER experience plus travel experience; 2 years ER and 1 year travel experience preferred
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN credential
- Ability to work at night and adapt to a 3x12 night schedule; ability to work in a 24/7 ER within a Short Term Acute Care Hospital
- Willingness to float to units within scope of practice as needed
