Parts Specialist

Compensation Pay Range: $17.13 - $23.50 per hour, with additional compensation through annual, quarterly performance bonuses or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the location. Essential Job Functions Follow and promote all company customer service programs (e.g., Hi‑5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot). Greet retail/walk‑in customers courteously and assist in merchandise selection. Assist managers and installer specialists in serving professional customers as directed. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, answering calls according to policy, looking up parts and quote prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low‑Price Guarantee. Maintain the cash drawer, accept cash/checks, make change accurately, and process credit card transactions. Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner following company policies. Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner. Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receipt, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning. Prepare new, core, and warranty merchandise returns for shipment to the distribution center. Assist with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts. Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after required training and meeting company requirements. Perform various in‑store services for customers (where state and local laws allow), such as installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, testing charging systems, scanning vehicle trouble codes, replacement of headlight capsules. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate; driving record must meet company mandated eligibility requirements. Perform all other duties as assigned. Skills / Education / Knowledge / Experience / Abilities Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service. Multitask customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously. Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service. ASE certification (desired).
