Role Description The Insurance Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role located in Claremont, CA. The specialist will consult with prospective and existing clients to assess coverage needs and recommend appropriate insurance products, including auto, home, business, workers’ compensation, and health-related options. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting sales appointments, preparing quotes, processing applications, and following up on leads generated through walk-ins, referrals, and outbound prospecting. The role also involves providing ongoing customer service, answering policy questions, assisting with policy changes, and maintaining accurate records in agency systems. The Insurance Sales Specialist will collaborate with the agency team to meet sales goals, support retention efforts, and uphold high standards of professionalism and client care. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Insurance Sales and Insurance, with the ability to explain products and coverage options clearly and accurately. Experience in Customer Service, providing responsive, respectful, and solution-focused support to a diverse client base. Background in Insurance Brokerage, with skills in comparing and positioning insurance solutions to meet individual and business needs. Knowledge of Health Insurance products and regulations, with the capacity to guide clients through available coverage choices. Active or obtainable state insurance license (property & casualty, and/or life & health) as required by California regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; Spanish language skills are highly beneficial. Comfort with using CRM or agency management systems, basic office software, and handling confidential information responsibly. Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset, reliable time management, and the ability to work in a structured office environment.
