Senior Fund Accountant

Responsibilities Monthly/quarterly/annual financial close and reporting of the Company and its associated REIT entities Record the acquisition and disposition of investment properties Prepare quarterly financial statements for Board of Directors and certain lenders Assist with annual audits and provide support to external auditors Cash management: daily liquidity review; routinely updating cash projections Assist Controller with REIT compliance and tax structuring considerations Ensure compliance with cash management agreements and loan covenants Routinely update internal control process documentation and policies/procedures Institute best practices for accounting processes Assist Finance department with budgets and projections, as needed Coordinate with property accountants and review/record monthly property financials into the general ledger Collaborate with various departments within the Company (i.e. Investment Team, Asset Management, Finance, etc.) to facilitate smooth and efficient execution of transactions Help drive the success of the Accounting department as the Company continues to grow Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA Preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP codification and financial reporting requirements, specifically consolidation guidance and ASC 805/ASU 2017-01 for asset acquisitions Ability to perform technical accounting research and articulate and document such research Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail Project and time management skills: must be able to drive a project forward successfully and be quick-thinking #J-18808-Ljbffr
