Direct Care Worker – Companions Caregivers ILST (Life Skills Training) A.B.I. Responsibilities Assist clients recovering from brain injuries who live alone or with family. Schedule and attend medical and therapeutic appointments with clients. Implement recovery activities within the home community. Document client progress on a daily basis and communicate with medical providers and other team members. Support clients with safety, organization, medication reminders, social entertainment, employment search, money management skills, and social skills. Requirements Highschool diploma or equivalent. 1–2 years of health‑care experience. Excellent time‑management and organizational skills. Proficiency with smartphone and tablet devices. Pass pre‑employment background checks and drug screening. Preferred Experience Experience helping people recovering from strokes, concussions, and/or brain injury and working within community settings. Team Support Safety Organization skills Medical and therapeutic rehab homework Medication reminders Social entertainment Finding meaningful employment Money management skills Social skills And more.
