Schedule: 40 hours/week | Department operates 5:00 AM–7:00 PM, 7 days a week
Weekend Rotation: Work 2 weekends, then 1 weekend off
Available Shifts: Early Morning & Mid-Morning
Additional Requirement: Must be available for rotating weekday shifts
Job Summary:
Responsible for preparing, cooking, serving, and portioning food in large quantities while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment to help prevent foodborne illness.
Essential Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of foods for regular and modified diets.
- Set up serving lines and portion food onto trays and into containers.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including mechanical/electrical equipment, dish machines, and other equipment with moving parts and high temperatures.
- Use sharp utensils safely.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, fixtures, and other areas.
- Sweep, mop, wash dishes, remove trash, and maintain overall cleanliness.
- Push food carts and assist with food delivery.
- Operate a cash register when needed.
- Operate vehicles or assist as a vehicle safety spotter when required.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand and walk approximately 80% of the workday .
- Frequently bend, stoop, push, and perform repetitive motions.
- Lift up to 40 lbs. independently and up to 75 lbs. with assistance .
- Work around wet/slippery floors; slip-resistant shoes are required .
- Must be comfortable working around kitchen equipment, high temperatures, and sharp utensils.
