Registered Nurse First Assistant

This role involves performing as a First Assistant in the perioperative setting, collaborating closely with surgeons during surgical procedures in the operating room. Responsibilities include delivering intraoperative patient care, conducting preoperative assessments, analyzing data to identify nursing diagnoses, and communicating patient outcomes throughout the perioperative process. The RNFA will function as a key member of the surgical team, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care, while monitoring patient responses and adjusting plans accordingly. Additional duties encompass administering medications, developing individualized care plans, evaluating patient progress, and participating in professional development. Qualifications include a Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing , 2-5 years of experience , and appropriate licenses and certifications such as RN and CNOR or Certified First Assistant. Preferred qualifications are a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and certifications like Cert Nurse OR or CNOR.
