Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead and oversee commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The Superintendent will be responsible for on-site management of safety, schedule, quality, subcontractors and client relationships across tenant improvement (TI), renovation, bank branch build-outs and ground-up commercial projects. The ideal candidate combines hands-on construction expertise with strong communication and organizational skills to deliver projects on time, within budget and to client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities and supervise subcontractors, craft workers and site personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Implement and enforce site safety programs and compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Coordinate project schedule, monitor progress, identify risks and implement recovery plans to meet milestones and handover dates.
• Maintain quality control, perform regular inspections, and ensure work meets contract documents, drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, foremen and owners to resolve field issues, RFIs and change orders promptly.
• Oversee logistics, site setup, materials delivery, equipment and temporary utilities to support continuous workflow.
• Conduct daily site reports, maintain jobsite documentation, labor and equipment logs and photographic records.
• Manage relationships with clients (including banks), property managers, tenants and local authorities to facilitate approvals, entry and inspections.
• Supervise tenant improvement (TI) and renovation work, coordinating closely to minimize disruption to occupied spaces and ensure tenant satisfaction.
• Support ground-up project activities including site grading, foundations, structural assemblies and envelope coordination as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar field leadership role in commercial construction, including tenant improvements, renovations and ground-up projects.
• Proven track record managing bank branch build-outs, tenant improvement (TI) projects or renovation work is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, quality control and safety regulations (OSHA).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and submittals; experience managing RFIs and change orders.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate field documentation and daily reports.
• Valid drivers license; ability to travel between sites and work flexible hours as required by project schedules.
• Relevant certifications preferred (OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, NCCER, or equivalent); bachelors degree in construction management, engineering or related field is a plus.
