FOOD SERVICE WORKER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Chartwells K12 is hiring full-time and part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions at the Flint Cultural Center Academy (1200 Robert T Longway, Flint, MI 48503). Applications are submitted online only. Pay: $14.50–$20.00 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available. Work schedule: Full‑time or part‑time schedules; Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM, 10:30 AM–2:00 PM, or 10:30 AM–6:00 PM. Specific hours will be discussed during the interview. Job Summary Prepares, presents and serves food as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weigh and measure designated ingredients. Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures. Clean work areas, equipment and utensils. Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment. Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control. Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service. Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor. Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures. Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
