Job Overview Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5–8‑hour days, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm (schedule may vary based on providers’ schedules and clinic staffing needs). Location: 3025 W. Cherry Lane, Ste.B, Meridian, ID 83642. Responsibilities Support a busy Family Medicine Physician Assistant and serve as an in‑clinic float with other Medical Assistants and providers. Assist with MA duties related to PTO, call outs, in‑basket tasks, and float to other providers when needed. Administer immunizations, perform child well visits, and assist with minor procedures. Perform phlebotomy, point‑of‑care testing, urine analyses, ear lavages, and complete tasks and orders in the task inbox. Provide strong customer service, follow‑through, critical thinking, effective communication, and excellent patient care. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire. Medical Assistant certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Healthcareer Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA) New Graduates: MA certificate of completion from an accredited program or school. Completion of either a 100‑hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of externship hours, even with MA certification. Medical Assistant with Experience: 1year of MA experience OR current MA certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days of hire from the agencies listed above. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network required at hire. EMT and CNA certifications will not count toward an MA certification. Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. Highlights and Benefits Market‑competitive pay.
