Physician Hospitalist - Competitive Salary

Job Description Location: Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa Status: Full Time Schedule: 152 Shifts/year; Typically 1-on/7-off; Mix of shifts: Days (0700-1900), Swings (1100-2300), and Nights (1900-0700) Call: No call Salary and Benefits: Sign-on Incentive Student Loan Reimbursement Relocation PTO & CME Allocation Malpractice Insurance (Incl. Tail) Health/Dental/Vision Retirement (403b & 457b) Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 650 provider multispecialty group with an excellent opportunity for a Hospitalist to join its growing group in Boise, Idaho. Join 32 physicians and 12 APPs in managing a high acuity medical service at a 381-bed regional medical center. With a typical patient population of 40% adult and 60% geriatric, hospitalists see patients with CHF, pneumonia, COPD, pancreatitis, stroke, neurologic conditions, geriatric fractures as well as other general medical conditions. Rounding typically involves 14-18 patient encounters per day. The ideal candidate will have a strong internal medicine or family medicine background with Hospitalist training and a desire to develop a practice in support of a growing multi-specialty medical group. Hospitalists also take part in teaching residents. Support: 24/7 in-house Imaging/Radiology; Intensivists; Hospitalists enjoy the support of a broad spectrum of subspecialists from SAMG and the broad medical community Requirements : Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree. Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency program, family medicine residency with hospitalist training will also be considered. Board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) – or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment. Obtain Idaho medical licensure, valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
