Job Title: Registered Nurse - Critical Care Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Must-Have: Experience in a fast-paced, high acuity critical care department Description: We are looking for highly motivated critical care nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Our team provides care for critically ill patients, receiving patients from various regions. We care for patients with a range of diagnoses, including cardiothoracic surgery and neuro/neurosurgery. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our team also provided ICU-level care for patients suffering from COVID-19 infection, including those on extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). The unit has a capacity of 15 beds, serving a diverse population from adolescents to late adults. Nurse to patient ratios typically are 1:2. The direct patient care staff consists of Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians. The unit serves patients with conditions such as cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and post-ventricular assist device placement.
