Position Title: CONSTRUCTION MANAGER III Company: O2EPCM, Inc. — award‑winning firm providing professional, technical, consulting and management services in the planning, design, engineering and construction industry to government agencies, utility companies and private clients. Salary: $160,000 - $172,000 Type: Full‑time Benefits: 401(k) Paid Holidays Paid Sick Leave Paid Vacation Employee Assistance Program Overview The construction manager will report to the project manager and is responsible for managing and coordinating construction activities of the Construction Contractor. The role acts as the liaison for pre‑construction and construction activities, leading safety, security and quality for the assigned programs, delivering modernizations at LAX. Key Responsibilities Monitor all on‑site field construction activities and ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications. Apply knowledge of various disciplines and construction methods for installation. Ensure construction operations follow approved work plans and Area Shutdown Requests, including proper notifications. Become familiar with contractual obligations and technical aspects of all facilities to be erected. Ensure work is performed per latest versions of plans and specifications, including approved changes, submittals and RFIs. Work with contractors and stakeholders to develop planning of construction activities and identify critical milestones and priorities. Monitor budget estimates and staffing requirements; manage manpower, materials and equipment for efficiency. Identify potential problem areas and take preventative action to meet critical milestones. Implement sound construction practices to achieve quality control at maximum efficiency and minimum cost. Prepare periodic reports summarizing construction progress for higher‑level management and clients. Ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures, including project labor agreement policies. Contribute to the advancement of TDG’s goals through productive collaboration with stakeholders. Participate in coordination meetings with contractors, trade partners, stakeholders and LAWA Operations. Review contractor change order claims and negotiate resolution. Hardware/Software Knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam. Familiarity with Project Management Information Systems (PM Web). Qualifications 10+ years of experience, preferably on airport projects. Experience with projects over $100 million in value. Experience with Design‑Bid‑Build, Design‑+‑CMAR and Design/Build delivery methods. Proven management capability. Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations. Education / Training Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (required). Master’s degree preferred. Optional certifications (AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc. or other relevant licensure or certifications). Element‑Specific Requirements / Notes MAY assume other duties as required. MAY be required to work past regular work shift and on various shifts. LAWA will provide a desktop computer that can be VPN’d into LAWA system. Consultant must have a company‑provided laptop computer; required for company business and VPNting into LAWA system when away from the office. Cell phone provided by consultant is required. This is NOT a work‑from‑home position. It is a salaried position based on 40 hours per week at the applicable all‑in labor rate. Monday‑Friday full‑time position in the office or on the project site at LAX. After hours or weekend work may be required and is considered part of the salary.
