Production Engineering SpecialistThe Production Engineering Specialist is involved with engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologies. The role of Production Engineering Specialist will have responsibility for maintaining accuracy of all work instructions and technical data related to engine maintenance for the site ERP system.Essential Responsibilities:Ensure accuracy and completeness of all CFM LEAP technical configuration data in the ERP systemBe responsible for creation and maintenance of all disassembly, assembly, inspection and repair work instructions for the MRO processesReview all engine shop manual incremental changes for impact on shop instructionsReview service bulletins and ensure all data is loaded accurately in the ERP systemEnsure all system data complies with customer and regulatory compliance requirementsPrimary point of contact for Engineering and Production ERP system technical data errors and correctionGenerate and maintain functional process maps for both Engineering and Production processesGenerate ideas for and assist in the execution of simplification and cost out initiativesAssist Quality team with corrective actions and quality report close-outs as requiredIdentify best practices and implement process improvements for cycle time and cost reductionAbility to learn new concepts in a rapidly changing environmentMinimum Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing or engineering experience)Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or engineering experienceDesired Characteristics & Experience:Prior experience of technical publication data related to Aviation Maintenance, Repair and OverhaulPrevious experience using the GE Aviation OASIS ERP systemKnowledge of basic engineering industry processes and proceduresStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to influence others and lead small teamsLead initiatives of moderate scope and impactAbility to coordinate several projects simultaneouslyEffective problem identification and solution skillsProven analytical and organizational abilityGE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing.
