Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in OB, Mother/Baby, and Labor & Delivery License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, NCC C-EFM preferred AWHONN Advanced Must-Have: - Must have experience in all areas of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) - No requested time off (RTO) allowed for the first two weeks of the contract - Will work every other weekend - Will float as a sitter when needed and to other locations if staffing requires Description: Holiday coverage is required. Flexibility for requested time off during holidays must be accommodated. Patient ratios follow established staffing guidelines. The unit consists of 15 beds, with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms. Nurses provide antepartum, labor and delivery, operating room circulating, scrub nurse, newborn care at delivery, and couplet care. Nurses perform lab draws and newborn hearing screenings. Scrubs will be provided. Training will be provided to complete newborn infant hearing screenings using a specified machine. No on-call requirement. Daily census and number of visits per day vary based on unit activity. Interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Floating to other locations will occur based on staffing needs and census levels. Proof of flu vaccination is required unless seeking a medical exemption.
