Offshore Deepwater Cost Analyst — Hybrid Role

Construction Cost Analyst – Offshore & Deepwater Projects Full-time Department: Energy and natural resources This position is based in Houston, TX, with a hybrid working arrangement (approximately 3 days per week in the client office, located near Turner & Townsend’s Houston office). Responsibilities Support cost tracking and reporting across offshore wells and deepwater project scopes. Assist in analyzing cost performance, identifying trends, variances, and potential risks. Consolidate and validate cost data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency. Prepare regular cost reports, dashboards, and summaries for project teams and stakeholders. Support forecasting activities and contribute to cost control processes. Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to understand cost drivers. Assist in developing and improving reporting tools, templates, and processes. Communicate findings clearly through simple, structured presentations and updates. Maintain organized cost data and ensure adherence to reporting standards and processes. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in cost analysis, project controls, or a related role within construction, energy, or infrastructure. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or a related field. Basic understanding of cost management principles and project delivery environments. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Ability to manage and interpret data from multiple sources. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely. Collaborative and proactive, with the ability to work effectively in a client‑facing team environment. Eagerness to learn and develop within a project controls and cost management career path.
