Title: CASAC Counselor (Outpatient) Location: Astoria, NY Employment Type: Full Time Compensation: Pay Range: $55,000 - $59,500 per year Summary This position involves providing direct counseling services in an outpatient setting under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor. Located in Astoria, NY, this is a full-time role that requires a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to work closely with patients to develop their social, cognitive, and behavioral skills. Requirements Provide individual counseling and develop treatment/recovery plans. Facilitate therapeutic interactions to enhance patient skill development. Implement psychosocial interventions to manage urges and cognitive distortions. Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions. Maintain accurate and thorough case records. Establish and maintain relationships with patient referral agencies. Complete utilization reviews to ensure continuity of care. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree a plus. Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing. Minimum of two years experience in a behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment program.
