Resident Care Associate

Position Overview The Retreat at Fort Walton Beach is hiring Resident Care Associates to join our team! Shift Details Mon-Fri; Every other weekend required. Full-time. Responsibilities Resident Care Associates provide the highest degree of quality care and services to residents and their families in our Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods. They provide hands‑on care, physical and emotional support as outlined in each resident's Personalized Service Plan (PSP), maintain a safe, comfortable home‑like environment, and demonstrate all elements of wellness in accordance with federal, state, local standards, and Phoenix policies. Reports directly to the Family Experience Director, Pearl Director, or Assistant Family Experience Director. Participate in the development and updates of personalized service plans and attend service‑plan review meetings with families as requested. Follow the hydration schedule established for residents during each shift. Complete resident meal attendance sheets and provide room service for residents who have not dined in the dining room. Know and comply with all resident rights. Initiate, assign, and assist with activities as appropriate. Check all assigned residents daily for cleanliness, appropriate clothing, any continence issues, and change in condition. Use proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions. Check assigned resident rooms daily for general cleanliness and neatness; take appropriate action; ensure high-risk rooms are double-checked. Assist with conducting laundry inspections and common‑area checks for cleanliness and hazardous chemicals; contact housekeeping or clean personally as needed. Complete all ADLs for assigned residents according to the resident's PSP. Respond to the security system and resident call bells promptly and immediately; take appropriate action, including resetting call bells. Qualifications High school education preferred and may be required by the state. Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age to perform personal care aspects of the RCA position. Knowledge and experience in the Assisted Living industry, dementia care, or skilled nursing preferred. Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours; available during peak service delivery days and times. #J-18808-Ljbffr
