Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Clover, South Carolina Job Details 13‑week travel assignment. Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, they develop personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to promote recovery and independence. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in physical therapy; new graduates welcomed. Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication. Reading, writing, and proficient PC skills. English language communication. Physical Abilities Ability to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend. Interpersonal Skills Work effectively with a variety of personnel; maintain a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills Fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures, use department equipment. Mental Requirements Handle frequent contact with the public and meet deadlines under pressure. Work with limited supervision occasionally. Maintain concentration during irregular activity schedules. Sensory Requirements Visual acuity and effective communication.
