Security Architect

Key Responsibilities


Security Architecture & Strategy

• Design and oversee end-to-end security architecture.
• Develop security policies, standards, procedures, and governance models.
• Ensure security controls are implemented throughout the project lifecycle.
• Translate security requirements into technical solutions.

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

• Oversee:
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC)
  • User provisioning and de-provisioning
• Support Workday security configuration and access governance.

Risk, Compliance & Audit

• Lead risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor adherence to frameworks such as:
  • NIST
  • ISO 2700x
  • COBIT
  • ITIL
  • SOX
• Maintain risk registers and remediation plans.

Cloud & Vendor Security

• Oversee security controls across Workday and related SaaS platforms.
• Monitor vendor security performance and SLA compliance.
• Review third-party security audits and testing results.
• Evaluate cloud security risks and recommend improvements.

Security Operations & Incident Response

• Support incident response, monitoring, and threat management.
• Oversee SIEM, security reporting, and vulnerability management.
• Lead disaster recovery, business continuity, and security testing efforts.

Stakeholder & Program Leadership

• Advise BEST leadership, EOTSS, CTR, agencies, and vendors.
• Coordinate security activities across multiple organizations.
• Support go-live readiness, security testing, and ongoing operations.

Required Qualifications


Experience

• 9+ years of IT design and implementation experience.
• 5+ years of security architecture and security design experience.
• Experience leading enterprise security programs for large-scale implementations.
• Experience with cloud and SaaS security architectures.

Technical Expertise


Strong knowledge of:

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 9+ years of IT architecture and implementation experience.
• 5+ years of Security Architect experience.
• Security certifications preferred (Security+, CISSP, or similar).
