Job Title: Oncology Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Nurse Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Current RN License Certifications: CPR Certification within 30 Days of Employment Must-Have: - BSN or ADN - Oncology Experience - Ability to communicate well in both oral and written forms - Attention to detail - Ability to assess, observe, and guide others Description: Plans, provides and supervises the nursing care of patients in an efficient and caring manner under the supervision of a medical oncologist. Coordinates care planning with other caregivers and adheres to universal precautions. Complies with infection control policies. Works independently with minimal supervision. Provides direct patient care in accordance with physician orders in a warm and friendly manner. Takes and records measurements or readings. Assesses patient conditions and provides treatment accordingly. Administers prescribed medications. Provides leadership while collaborating with other caregivers.
