Job Overview Over‑the‑road (OTR) CDL A truck driver positions available in multiple regions, including Branchville, Oklahoma City, Midlothian, and the Northeast. Companies specialize in dry van, refrigerated, and tank freight across long distances. Responsibilities Operate a Class A commercial tractor‑trailer in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies while transporting freight over long‑distance, multi‑state routes. Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintain accurate electronic logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation. Follow Hours of Service requirements and safety standards, properly securing cargo to prevent damage or loss during transit. Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding route status, delays, and delivery updates, and promptly report any accidents, traffic incidents, or mechanical issues. Complete all pickups and deliveries safely, efficiently, and on schedule. For dedicated routes, maintain secure devices, straps, and monitor freight to ensure product is delivered in its original condition. Keep equipment fueled, tidy, and in compliance with inspection requirements; account for all assigned tools and equipment. Follow company policy, participate in required trainings, and keep truck clean. Maintain professional conduct and attitude toward other motorists; comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations and state laws. Perform any other reasonable requests as directed by management. Qualifications Class A CDL required, at least 21 years old (varies by location). Minimum 1‑3 years of verifiable CDL A experience (some positions require 1‑6 months, others 12 months or more). No more than 1 preventable CMV accident in the last 2 years; no major preventable accidents in the last 5 years. No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years. No DUI/DWI within the past 5 or 10 years, depending on CDL history. Must pass a DOT physical and drug test. Clean driving record; routinely meet safety and employment history requirements. For tank drivers: Must have or be willing to obtain tanker and Hazmat endorsement, TWIC card, and be willing to perform training. For all: Able to operate within specified Hours of Service; maintain accurate logs. Compensation & Bonuses Average weekly gross pay ranges from $1,800 to $2,760, depending on mileage, route, and experience. CPM rates typically between $0.60 and $0.80 per mile. Bonus programs include safety, inspection, detention, layover, and performance incentives; some positions offer 3‑$0.3‑$0.4 CPM for longest routes. $3,000 sign‑on bonus for experienced drivers (some positions). Longevity or career‑level bonuses awarded to drivers with 3–5 years of tenure. Teams and solo options available; team drivers may share a $5,000 sign‑on bonus and earn up to $70,000 or more annually. Weekly settlements and flexible home time options.
