You will troubleshoot, maintain, install, and repair electrical equipment and systems throughout the plant.Your responsibilities will include:Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, sketches, charts, and diagramsInstall, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, dismantle, and replace electrical systems and equipmentWork with electrical fixtures, lighting systems, meters, motors, and industrial equipmentTroubleshoot and maintain PLC and programmable control systemsWork with solid-state electronic control systems, pneumatic systems, and pyrometric equipmentPerform electrical maintenance on plant substations and other industrial electrical systemsComplete preventive maintenance inspections and accurately document maintenance activitiesUpdate and transfer maintenance information to electrical blueprints and documentationDiagnose electrical problems and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliabilityWork safely throughout all areas of the manufacturing facility, including the roof, boiler house, attic, and other plant areasFollow all safety procedures and maintain a strong commitment to a zero-injury workplaceYou’ll Thrive Here If You:Enjoy hands-on electrical troubleshooting and industrial maintenanceLike working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentTake pride in keeping production equipment running safely and efficientlyEnjoy diagnosing electrical problems and finding solutionsHave experience working with PLCs, programmable controllers, and industrial electrical systemsAre committed to workplace safety and following electrical safety proceduresWant to grow your skills and build a long-term career in manufacturingWhat You’ll Need:High School Diploma or GED equivalentJourneyman Electrician CardPLC experienceIndustrial electrical or manufacturing maintenance experience preferredAbility to work any shiftAbility to safely perform the physical requirements of the positionBuild Your Career With SilganSilgan is more than a manufacturing company — we are an essential part of the global food and consumer products supply chain .We are a global Fortune 500 packaging company with 109 manufacturing facilities across North and South America, Europe, and Asia .
